Elopements: The couple and two witnesses, it is usually a very short notice, and quick ceremony. You may call me and I can meet you just about anywhere! Park, restaurant, home, mall, etc...whatever meets your needs and as long as you have a valid Iowa marriage license and have observed the 3 day waiting period.
$150.00 within the Des Moines area. (witnesses can be provided @ $15/each)
Because you are eloping and will not be able to hold the date with a deposit, payment is expected in full at time of service and MUST be paid in cash! Thank you so much for your understanding!
Basic Wedding: This can be a very simple relaxed wedding to an elegant modern wedding, in any location you choose, such as a park, backyard, lakeside, church, museum, under the fireworks on the Fourth of July! Anywhere that means something to the couple can be incorporated into the wedding. Usually includes an initial meeting, and a couple of emails and phone calls. I can also attend a rehearsal if needed. If you choose Say Yes!...Weddings, I can suggest sample vows or readings, prayers, or poems. Most of our weddings fall into this price range...
$300 within the Des Area. **I can and will travel anywhere but there might be additional charges, that are incurred and not included in the prices above.
Some suggestions for ceremony sites: Water Works Park, Covered Bridges in Madison County, Botanical Gardens, Zoo, Living History Farms, Several Parks and lakes, Art Center, anywhere that might mean something to the two of you!
I want you to remember to relax and enjoy YOUR day! If you decide that I am the officiant for you I will send you several sample vows, for you to use or get some great ideas from.
Please note!! I can hold your date for 72 hrs, at the time of our phone conversaton. During that time I try to set up a date and time to get together and go over your wedding details, preferably within that week of our conversation, at that meeting is when a down payment is required to continue holding your date. Deposit is: 1/2 down is required to hold your date (non-refundable) and the balance is due 10 (ten days)prior to the wedding day, no exceptions. I am sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, and thank you for your understanding!
If for some reason your wedding has to be cancelled or changed your deposit will be good towards another date, as long as I am available at that time.
